Who Am I

Merry Meet! My Name is Donald Lamp (pronouns: He, Him), Founder and High Priest of the Amethyst Dragon Coven of New Castle, Delaware. I have been Practicing Wicca and Witchcraft for 25 years, I have been Reiki attuned, certified for energy healing and treatments, as well as officially Ordained by the Universal Life Church for 20 years.

The Coven of the Amethyst Dragon is not a traditional "coven", rather it is organized more as an Open Circle. Meaning there is no requirement or expectation of official membership, initiation, dedication, volunteering, nor any financial "dues" to participate in rituals or services. We are part of the LGBTQ+ community and are strictly intolerant of any discriminatory actions or behaviors. For more information about Amethyst Dragon, see our About page.

Reiki Treatments

Reiki energy healing treatments have many benefits to the health and well-being of a client. The energy can help the body's natural healing, can help release emotional blockages, or provide overall mental clarity. Metaphysical Counseling/Therapy

First, let me state I am NOT a Psychiatrist, I hold NO medical degrees. I am however an Empath, and can help others see alternate perspectives. Sometimes, when medical science and psychiatric care does not seem to help, perhaps a spiritual or metaphysical assist may be in order. Sometimes just having someone who's spiritual beliefs are in line with your own is enough to talk through some issues that plague you.

Handfasting and Marriage

As one of the most joyous of occasions, Handfastings are a very special time and have profound meaning for us. However in our society, pagan ceremonies and traditions can be seen in a negative light by some. Finding someone to officiate the ceremony can be equally as challenging. If you are looking for an Ordained Officiant to lead your ceremony please feel free to reach out and have a conversation. We can work together to build the right ceremony for yourself and your guests.

Wiccaning (aka: Witch's Baptism)

Next to your Wedding, welcoming a new life into the world is a life changing experience. To protect our children from illness, we have them vaccinated. To protect our children from spiritual harm, we Bless them by the Goddess and God in a Wiccaning Ceremony. For those who are looking to have their child "Baptized" but are not interested in a church service or just seeking a pagan blessing, alternatives are available.

Coming of Age, Life Cycle Rituals

Centuries ago, when children transitioned to adulthood there were unique challenges required to teach them vital survival skills or for them to prove themselves worthy. In this modern age, such traditions have vanished, yet the primal need for such "recognition" is still vitally needed. Whether you are celebrating a transition from Child to Adolescence, Adolescence to Adulthood, Becoming a Parent, Empty Nesting, or Eldering Rites. We need acknowledgement, recognition, and encouragement during these life cycle transitions.

End of Life Rituals

Time in this incarnation, unfortunately, is limited. As Pagans/Wiccans facing end of life rites or services we tend to have difficulty finding the care and comfort needed from chaplain services that don't always align with our beliefs.
